Celebrating the Inaugural Scholarship Recipients from the Robbe Mayall Ski Education Foundation
We are thrilled to announce the very first scholarship recipients from the Robbe Mayall Ski Education Foundation (RMSEF). These exceptional individuals were selected for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to advancing their skills as ski instructors.
In 2022, RMSEF awarded scholarships in two categories:
- A $3,000 scholarship to attend the PSIA National Academy.
- A $500 Professional Development Scholarship to support continuing education through PSIA events.
These scholarships are designed to remove financial barriers for aspiring ski instructors, empowering them to grow professionally and embrace the joy of teaching skiing.
PSIA National Academy Scholarship
The 2022 Alpine National Academy will be held in April at Big Sky, Montana. Lauren Shaw, Nate Livingston, Zhanna Rice, and Luke Burnett each received $3,000 scholarships to cover event registration, travel, food, and lodging.
This award aims to help younger ski professionals attend National Academy during the critical early stages of their careers, offering them opportunities for advanced training, networking, and inspiration. These four rising stars represent the future of ski instruction, and we are excited to see them shine at this prestigious event.

Professional Development Scholarship
The RMSEF Professional Development Scholarship awards $500 for future PSIA events. In 2022, Sarah Kaye and Lucas Winson received this scholarship in recognition of their potential and commitment to professional growth.
This scholarship provides the flexibility to choose PSIA events that best align with their individual goals, enabling them to enhance their skills and impact as ski instructors.
